With the upcoming lockdown from this Thursday (5th November 2020) we wanted to express our thanks to all those involved in providing us with the chance to get away over the last few months.
We’ve been extremely lucky to get in away in our caravan over the last few months as the world started to get back to some routine and normality, even if things were a little different. But this has only been possible due to all the hard work of the amazing wardens, staff and teams, not only at our favourite sites and those we visited, but at all the sites across the country that re-opened.
It was a steep learning curve as everyone adapted and all those that usually worked hard to make our stays fantastic anyway, now found a whole new raft of policies and procedures to adhere too, to be COVID compliant and allowed to open again. However the work didn’t stop there! As the new practices and procedures had to be monitored, followed and implemented. New increased cleaning regimes, altered check in procedures, a huge influx of bookings and managing guests at a social distance, and to top it all, it was done whilst smiling behind a mask.
It’s very easy to simply say, it’s just their job, it’s very easy to loose sight that this increased workload was often managed without any additional staff, some even found it easy to take their frustration and anger out on those employed when they didn’t like the changes, even though those working were there so we could get our holidays and breaks.
So to everyone that has gone above and beyond, to look after us in these uncertain times, so that we could enjoy ourselves on holiday and have some normality and positivity, to get that escape from what was going on, Carrs & Caravan THANK YOU.
We look forward to returning once again when life allows, but until then, stay safe and we’ll be there to support you, your business and livelihoods once again.
